Create an account on /register, pick a tier (or the free tier), fill in studio + one artist. That takes 2 minutes. After that you have an intake link you can put in your Instagram bio.
For inktboek itself no — you can use it freely without a KvK. To receive iDEAL deposits via Stripe yes — Stripe requires a valid business registration. If you have no KvK yet, sort that first and connect Stripe after.
For solo typically 1-2 hours: CSV import for the customer list, transfer your own calendar, connect Stripe, share the first intake link. For a 5-artist studio count on half a day.
No. It is built so you are productive in 30 minutes. With Studio + (€99) you get a 1-on-1 onboarding call included to bring your whole team along in one go.
Because it is unfair to the artist and we simply do not need to. Stripe is our payments partner: the money goes straight from customer to artist, inktboek never touches it. We earn from the flat monthly fee.
1 artist profile, 20 customer bookings per 30 days, no iDEAL deposits via Stripe. All other Solo features. Good to start without a Stripe link.
We email you 3 days before. Add a payment method via Settings → Subscription to continue. Do nothing and your studio drops to the free tier: existing data stays, new bookings + artists are temporarily limited until you activate.

Each artist links their own Stripe Connect account. On a booking with deposit the customer gets an iDEAL link. Money lands directly in the artist's bank account. Inktboek never touches the money.
Stripe charges €0.29 per iDEAL transaction. The artist pays that fee directly to Stripe; we charge no percentage on top.
Stripe also supports card, Apple Pay and Google Pay alongside iDEAL. For tourists or international customers that alternative works automatically.
Deposits are refundable on timely cancellation. Window you set yourself. Refund button is on the project (and on /ops if you are admin); execution runs through Stripe. On no-show or late cancellation the deposit stays.
Per artist you choose: own Stripe (solo / own KvK) or the central studio Stripe (employee on payroll). Configurable on /settings/team by the OWNER.
Yes. For each project the customer gets their own link by email. With it they open the chat without password or account. The link is unique per project and stays valid as long as the project runs.
You keep them. Inktboek gradually replaces the chaos of loose DMs for customers with an active project. If someone first reaches out via DM, you can forward them to your inktboek intake link.
Yes. Inktboek is mobile first: every screen is built for one-handed use. No native app needed, just your browser. For customers the intake and chat are also mobile first; on desktop we have had a separate split layout since Sprint 28.
Automatically — 24 hours and 2 hours ahead is the default. On /settings/notifications you can pick max 3 reminder times (from 1h to 72h ahead). No manual action needed.
Yes. Per session you generate an ink passport with brand, product name, color code, batch number, expiry and REACH conformity. Customer gets a copy by email; you keep it in your studio dossier for the legally required 5 years. Available in all tiers (also FREE) because compliance is not a luxury.
Customer data is stored encrypted, daily backed up, deleted within 30 days on cancellation (except where fiscal retention requires otherwise). Passwords are encrypted; nobody on our side can see them.
We (Helolinks, KvK 98076655) as processor; you as a studio are the data controller for your end customers. Sub-processors: Stripe (Ireland) for payments, Strato (Germany) for hosting + S3 + mail. Full DPA at /verwerkersovereenkomst.

Yes. One-way sync to your personal Google Calendar already works. Two-way sync coming soon.
Yes, any time. On cancellation you automatically get a CSV export with customers, projects, bookings, payments and ink records. In between you can request an export via Settings or via support.
Yes, on our own NL VPS via Strato. No US cloud, no tracking, no analytics. Own mail server at Strato for all transactional mail.
Yes. Although the marketing focuses on tattoo, almost all functions are usable for piercing studios and combo shops: intake, calendar, deposits, customer record, reminders.
